SAINT CLAIR -- Two people died Tuesday morning after a crash on Route 61 in Schuylkill County.
Police in Saint Clair are looking for what led up to the crash along Route 61, just outside of Pottsville.
According to police, a car and an SUV collided on Route 61.
The impact killed two. A man died at the scene and a woman died at a hospital.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. on Route 61 in Saint Clair at the intersection with Russel Street. The area was closed for a couple of hours but traffic was back to normal by the afternoon.
The names of the two people killed have not been released. Police say the victims are both from Frackville.
