HILLARY EMAIL PROBE

SCRANTON -- After a year-long probe into emails sent by Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State, this was the FBI's recommendation to the Justice Department.

“Our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,” said FBI Director James Comey.

Clinton was subject to political and criminal scrutiny for sending sensitive and highly classified state department information from a personal email account.

Comey called the presidential candidate's actions careless but not a case for criminal charges.

Evie Rafalko McNulty is a superdelegate for Clinton.

“There was never anything malicious that was done, and I think that's the bottom line. There was no evidence of it, and the same FBI that protects our country every day, they went and did tooth and nail, and if there was something there that would have been found, it would have been found,” said McNulty.

Clinton's Republican challenger Donald Trump was quick to fire back on social media, calling the FBI's probe rigged.

Frank Scavo is a Trump supporter.

“That's not for James Comey to say, he presents the evidence,” said Scavo, explaining that charges, if any, would be brought by the Justice Department.  “This is for {Attorney General} Loretta Lynch to say and actually what a production it was that Bill Clinton meets with Loretta Lynch on Thursday, on Saturday, Hillary Clinton is questioned for three hours and on Tuesday, she's semi-exonerated.”

Scavo questions if Clinton is capable of running the most powerful office in the country.

“How will she be able to manage many of our departments, including defense, state and everything that she had been involved in? It leaves a question in her ability to lead and keep our state's secrets, secret,” said Scavo.

McNulty disagrees.

“I think the people who believe in Hillary believe in her,” said McNulty. “So, they believed in her and had faith in her, and in our hearts, knew she would never do something malicious or put this country at risk.”
