SNYDER COUNTY -- The holiday weekend, marred by a fiery crash Sunday night at a track in Snyder County.
According to staff at Selinsgrove Speedway in Snyder County, Jake Waters flipped his sprint car on lap four of a race Sunday night.
The car caught fire and was burned. An emergency responder and another driver were also injured trying to get Waters out of the wreckage.
According to a tweet from the speedway, Waters was talking and conscious when he was being taken away in an ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Selinsgrove Speedway canceled the rest of the races Sunday night due to firefighting equipment begin exhausted, and race fuel being spilled on the track.
This is not the first serious crash at Selinsgrove Speedway. Driver Duan Mausteller suffered a head injury, when he crashed in May of 2014.
