In football Southern Columbia collected the school's 1st "AA" state title with a 49-14 win over Aliquippa. It's the 7th championship in school history.

"This is a crazy feeling. It hasn't set in yet, but holy heck we are here. No better way to end off your senior year than undefeated and a state championship," said Nick Becker.

Crestwood's run in field hockey ended in Emmaus losing 3-2 in overtime to Twin Valley the eventual AA state champ.

The Loyalsock girl's soccer team made it to Hershey losing to Trinity 3-1 in the finals. On the boy's side it was the undefeated Green Dragons of Lewisburg collecting its 2nd state soccer crown with a 4-0 shut out of South Park.

Cross country Ally Rome from Dallas finished 1st in AA. The Dallas boy's won the AA team title and Dominic Hockenbury from Lake Lehman took home another gold medal in AA.

In basketball Pottsville and Minersville girl's the #1 teams in the Super 16. Lourdes Regional made a run in class "A" losing to Cardinal Wuerl in the finals.

Swimming one state champ Jonah Crawford from Bloom in the 100 breaststroke.

Wrestling four state champions Kevan Gentile from Jim Thorpe, brain Courtney Athens outstanding AA wrestler, Gavin Hoffman-Montoursville and Jake Jakobsen Stroudsburg capture gold.

Track and field we had 10 individual winners and 1 team event. Bloom's Jahvel Hemphill in the 100 and Meyers Raheem Twyman in the 300 hurdles captured the spotlight.

Baseball-North Pocono and North Schuylkill won district titles and lost in states on the same day. Softball Williams Valley won on a walk off hit from Rayeen Hawk and Holy Redeemer made it back to back state championships. Steve Lloyd newswatch 16 sports.
