SCRANTON – Folks gathered in different parts of Scranton to observe Flag Day.
Residents of the Gino Merli Veteran's Center on Mulberry Street spent some time outdoors to commemorate Flag Day.
Guest speakers took part in the annual ceremony that happens to kick off National Veterans’ Homes Week.
The flag was also flying high during a special Flag Day ceremony at Courthouse Square in Scranton.
The event Tuesday afternoon included speakers who talked about strength, character and the symbolism of the flag.
