DURYEA -- Police in Luzerne County are now trying to find the man who tried to escape from jail with Hugo Selenski back in 2004.

It all has to do with a fight that police say broke out Wednesday in front of a home on Mc Alpine Street in Duryea

Authorities are now looking for Scott Bolton.

Records show that Bolton was released from prison just a month and a half ago. He's spent most of the last 13 years in prison since he made news with his better known ex-cellmate Hugo Selenski.

In 2003, Hugo Selenski scaled the walls of the Luzerne County Corrections Center with a rope made of knotted bed sheets.

His cellmate was not so lucky. Scott Bolton of Duryea fell seven stories.

The last time Bolton was seen in public, he was in a wheelchair awaiting trial on escape, and other charges that would keep him in the state prison system until this spring.

On Tuesday, police believe he assaulted a man and a woman at their home on McAlpine Street in Duryea, and then ran into the woods.

As police followed up the investigation, they discovered a possible meth lab in the back yard.

Bolton is no longer in a wheelchair.

Beginning in November 2003, Bolton served two and a half years in state prison for stealing an ATV.

When that sentence ended in May, 2006, Bolton started serving an almost nine-year term in prison, primarily for his escape with Selenski.

In January 2014, Bolton was moved to a halfway house, only to be sent back to prison 10 months later in October for violating parole when he was charged with and convicted of shoplifting.

Bolton walked out of prison after he was granted parole on April 24 of this year.

Anyone who has any information about the fight or where Bolton might be is asked to call Duryea  police.
