Where did the hammer come from, the beer cooler? These half-stories aren’t really worth commenting on, but I’m going to comment anyway, just because it’s apparent that there’s more to the story than what we just read.
First of all, they never reported on the victim’s condition, was he okay?
Then, who’s hammer was it? Was the mother protecting her daughter? Or was the mother just being violent? Were the mother-in-law’s actions criminally spontaneous and unwarranted, or was she attempting to protect her daughter from a possible ongoing abusive relationship, and got tired of watching and doing nothing?
Either way, she’s the one who’s paying for it now. These kinds of people should just stay home and not expose other people to their uncivilized and primitive behavior.
Some people really look forward to these events, and then they get ruined by people who never learned how to behave like adults.
