MOOSIC -- Almost a dozen food trucks whipped up some ball park-inspired cuisine all to help a school in Scranton.

For just $10, people could enjoy the NEPA Food Truck Festival and get a ticket to the Saturday afternoon RailRiders game at PNC Field in Moosic.

Money raised at the festival benefits the NativityMiguel School in Scranton, an independent Catholic middle school for impoverished children.

Organizers tell Newswatch 16 they wanted to bring the community together with a different type of fundraiser.

"We wanted to do a community event so that people from the community could get to know us a little bit better. We didn't want to do the same old gala. We wanted to do something that was unique like we are," said Luciana Musto, director of NativityMiguel School of Scranton.

Newswatch 16's Sharla McBride served as a judge at the event and voted on favorite ball park food.
