The sky is the limit for a weekend event hitting the Poconos! And, it's being held all in the name of making wishes come true for kids! The Rotary Club of Mt. Pocono will host its 21st annual Community Aviation Day this Sunday. The event happens rain or shine. Each year, the fly-in/drive-in breakfast has benefited numerous charities. This weekend, money raised will go to the Greater PA/West Virginia "Make-A-Wish Foundation." The nonprofit helps "arrange experiences described as 'wishes' to children with life-threatening medical conditions."
The Community Aviation Day takes place this Sunday, May 29, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport in Tobyhanna. The Cost for the all you can eat breakfast is $10.00 per person. Airplane and helicopter rides are also available. Airplane trips are $30.00 for adults and kids eight to 17 years old are free as long as they accompany a paying parent. Helicopter rides are $60.00 per person. Money raised goes back to support "Make-A-Wish."
