SHAMOKIN DAM -- A man was sentenced up to 30 years in prison for robbery in Snyder County.
Last October, Johnathan Hackenberg of Mifflin County pleaded guilty to robbing a Dollar General in Shamokin dam at gunpoint, as well as conspiring to rob the Short Stop Store in Kreamer.
The 33-year-old also plead guilty to burglarizing several businesses in Snyder County.
He told police he committed the crimes because he needed money for a bone marrow transplant.
Hackenberg will be eligible for parole in 5 years.
