CLINTON TOWNSHIP -- An office manager for a lumber company in Wayne County is under arrest, accused of stealing from her employer.
Jeannie Brooks, 40, of Prompton is accused of taking nearly $24,000 from Aldenville Log and Lumber in Clinton Township near Honesdale.
The district attorney's office said Brooks wrote checks to herself from the company between April 2014 to January 2016.
She is locked up in the Wayne County Prison with bail set at $25,000.
Brooks was previously sentenced for theft from the Wayne County Tax Claim Office in 2012.
