HAZLE TOWNSHIP — Crews were called to a fire at a school chemistry lab in Luzerne County.
It happened at the Hazleton Area Career Center near Hazleton around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The fire was contained to one classroom and no one was hurt, according to the Hazleton Area School District superintendent. Some students were in the school when the fire started and had to be evacuated, but no one was in the lab at the time.
There’s no word on what caused the fire.
