DYBERRY TOWNSHIP -- A steady stream of people turned out for a job fair in Wayne County.
The Himalayan Institute just outside of Honesdale sponsored the event on Wednesday.
A number of businesses looking to fill positions were there, including Wayne Memorial Hospital, Wal-Mart, and the U.S. Penitentiary, Canaan.
The available positions included summer jobs as well as full-time jobs.
"You get to talk person to person and ask the questions you want, and I think it’s nice. I like it," said Barbara Gager of Honesdale.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate in Wayne County is 6.9%, slightly higher than the national average of five percent.
