WILKES-BARRE -- A woman in Wilkes-Barre is thankful no one was hurt when someone fired several shots at her home early Monday morning.

Some of the bullets even hit the bedroom where she was sleeping.

The gunfire happened around 2:30 a.m. at the home on Kent Lane in Wilkes-Barre. Several shots struck the home, including the front door and a bedroom window.

The woman who lives there is named Donna Brazinski. She thinks whoever fired those shots fired at the wrong house. She told us she's lived there for 20 years and is now raising her teenage daughter at the home.

She was in bed sleeping when the gunfire suddenly woke her up. Some shots were fired right into her bedroom.

"I felt the plaster hit me, and when I heard the 'pop, pop, pop,' I woke up and thought, 'Dear mother of God, I'm being hit! My home is being hit by gunshots!' and I just rolled and went on the floor," Brazinski said.

More shots were fired Monday morning in Wilkes-Barre about a mile way on North Meade Street. Police are not yet saying if they could be connected.

Brazinski and many of her neighbors think whoever fired those shots fired at the wrong house.  She believes there's a drug house nearby and the shots fired were meant for that home.

"Why the hell is this happening to me? It's unreal, unreal!" Brazinski added.

"We don't want the bad people taking over our neighborhood," said a neighbor.

Newswatch16 asked city officials if there is a home on Kent Street or in the area where they believe drug activity may be going on. We are still waiting for a response.
