ASHLEY -- State police suspect a driver was under the influence of alcohol after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 81 in Luzerne County early Saturday morning.
Troopers believe Joseph Colson, 50, of Ashley was driving drunk when he got onto the highway at Blackman Street and traveled north in the southbound lanes. His vehicle collided head-on with a tractor trailer near Wilkes-Barre.
Colson treated and released from the hospital. Two people in the tractor trailer were not injured.
Colson has not been charged at this point.
