LEWISBURG -- On Tuesday,  Bernie Sanders was at Penn State University, and Thursday he was in Scranton.

Donald Trump will be in Harrisburg Thursday night. On Friday, Hillary Clinton will visit Scranton, and Ted Cruz will also be in the Electric City, as well as Williamsport.

But what about Lewisburg? Or Selinsgrove? Or Milton? So far, no candidates are scheduled to visit. Voters in this area wish they would.

"Just because they all lived in Scranton, or their relatives lived in Scranton, I think someone should come to Lewisburg," Sara Holmes said.

With the Pennsylvania Primary Election this coming Tuesday, many voters will have the opportunity to see their favorite presidential candidate in person.

Dan Langan of Milton wishes he had that chance.

"Even broaden their base. So that we're quite aware of not what they're just saying over sound bites, but we're getting that face to face contact with the candidates," Langan said.

Even though people would like to have that face-to-face interaction, many people we spoke with say they understand why the candidates aren't coming to this part of our area.

"From an economic point of view, running their campaigns, it just makes sense to go to someplace bigger," Jessie Walsh said.

Jessie Walsh of Lewisburg remembers when Bill Clinton came to Bucknell University eight years ago to stump for Hillary. She wishes he would come again.

"It was great. It was fun," Walsh said.

Some Bucknell students also wish candidates or their families would come to Lewisburg.

Brittany Hurley is from New York and says her friends attended rallies.

"I know there was a Bernie Sanders rally last week at SUNY Albany and it would be cool if we had something like that at Bucknell," Hurley said.
