A furry fun-filled event later this week is hoping to create more awareness about pet therapy in our area.  It all ties into a "Parade For Pet Therapy."  It'll be held at Lackawanna State Park this Sunday, April 24.  Registration starts at 11 a.m. and the parade begins at noon.  Although the event is free, donations collected will go toward "pet therapy scholarships" which will be handled by Allied Services in Scranton.

Newswatch 16's Ryan Leckey introduced to Joan Newman of Waverly who was instrumental in bringing pet therapy to Scranton, helping those in need one paw at a time.
