PORTER TOWNSHIP — Authorities want to know how several dead puppies ended up in a creek in Schuylkill County.
Nine dead puppies were pulled out of Wiconisco Creek in Porter Township outside Tower City on Tuesday.
A mother and her children were looking for turtles in the water when they spotted the lifeless dogs Monday night, WHTM reports.
The dogs appeared to be the same breed.
Investigators believe one of the puppies had its skull crushed.
A state animal cruelty officer is taking one of the puppies to Harrisburg to determine the cause of death.
