UNIVERSITY PARK -- The Pennsylvania primary is next Tuesday and one Democratic presidential candidate had supporters "feeling the Bern" in central Pennsylvania.
Bernie Sanders made a stop at Penn State's main campus, which drew hundreds of college students.
There was a raucous rally cry from Sanders' supporters as the Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at Rec Hall at Penn State University.
"So next Tuesday, let us have the highest voter turnout in Pennsylvania history," Sanders said to his supporters.
College students made up the majority of the crowd that filled Rec Hall, who support Sanders' platform of free higher education.
"Definitely the education, how he wants to support higher education, make that free for more people, how he wants to redistribute the wealth, all of that. It's good points," said junior Sean Furry of Hazleton.
With one week left before Pennsylvania's primary election, Sanders drummed up the enthusiasm in central Pennsylvania. Hundreds waited in a line for hours that wrapped around Rec Hall to get inside for the event.
A group of students from Hazleton said Sanders speaks for the everyday person, not the super elite.
"Being a blue collar industrial area, his impact would be immense with food programs and programs for the poor and low income housing would be immensely great for Hazleton," said senior Zachery Ostrosky from Hazleton.
"We love everything that he stands for and we're glad that he's supporting the people of this country instead of all the rich people," junior Amanda Gordiner of Hazleton said.
It's a close race between Sanders and his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton to claim the party's nomination in Pennsylvania.
"Oh yeah, every vote counts and that's why I'm doing this for Bernie, so he gets it," Furry added.
One of those votes still up for grabs is that of Penn State senior Christian Kanggara, who is from Scranton.
"Honestly, I'm still not sure who to vote for, so I'm just getting all the information together," Kanggara said.
Hillary Clinton has a campaign stop set for Wednesday in Philadelphia.
Sanders is scheduled to make a stop in Scranton on Thursday.
