Police Targeted by Pellet Gun

MAHONING TOWNSHIP — Police believe someone is targeting officers in part of Carbon County.

A Lehighton borough police officer was parked along Route 209 at Center Street in Mahoning Township on Friday with his lights flashing.

While sitting inside the cruiser, the driver door was shot with a pellet gun.

The officer was not hurt.
