SCRANTON -- People and their pets soaked up the sun while raising money to help veterans get service dogs.

The organization called Dog T.A.G.S. helps veterans with PTSD and other issues by pairing them with service dogs.

The Marywood University Student Veterans Alliance teamed up with Dog T.A.G.S. to help raise money for the cause.

Along with a dog training demonstration, there were raffles and refreshments at McDade Park in Scranton on Saturday.

We spoke with one army veteran about how Molly, his service dog, changed his life.

"Before I got her, I did not want to leave the house. I did not want to do anything, and when I got her, I am out moving around in crowds, in front of a camera. She has been helping out a lot," said Scott Taylor.

Along with helping veterans, the organization also seeks to help dogs by rescuing them from shelters.
