LEWISBURG -- A woman accused of injuring her son by leaving him in a scalding hot bathtub has pleaded guilty to assault in Union County.
Hayle Hans of Buffalo Township pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault on Thursday.
Investigators said in August of 2015, Hans left her 2-year-old son in the hot bathtub and failed to take him to the hospital after noticing the burns on his legs.
Troopers said the child had second-degree burns on about nine percent of his body.
She is scheduled to be sentenced in June.
