LEHIGH TOWNSHIP -- A daycare center in the Lehigh Valley is shut down after a 3-month-old died while in the center's care.
The girl died Friday at Sharon's Day Care near Allentown, according to police. It was her mother's first day back to work.
An employee left the infant unsupervised for almost a half an hour as she napped during which time she became unresponsive, according to state investigators.
The cause of death is not yet known.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services issued an emergency closure of the daycare following the incident.
