DUNMORE -- The wet weather gave some motorcyclists a bit of a challenge Saturday in Lackawanna County.
PennDOT held its motorcycle training course in Dunmore and for some folks in attendance, it was their first time on a motorcycle.
The instructor says it's best to learn in tough weather conditions so you're prepared when you head out on your own.
“Being self-taught or somebody putting them on a motorcycle and say do this is not a good idea,” said Marty Menichiello, the instructor. “If you learn any skill you should learn the proper way. After you learn the skill, you get better and better."
The training program is not mandatory for motorcyclists, but it is offered by PennDOT free of charge.
