SCRANTON -- Marywood University named a new president Friday.
Sister Mary Persico has been appointed as the 12th president of Marywood.
She will replace Sister Anne Munley who has been head of the university since 2007.
Sister Munley decided earlier this year to retire as Marywood's president in June.
