SCRANTON -- Former president Bill Clinton is scheduled to come to our area to try to boost his wife's run for the White House.

The announcement from the Hillary Clinton campaign came Tuesday morning.  Bill Clinton is scheduled to campaign in Scranton Thursday.

President Clinton is set to speak at Scranton High School on Mike Munchak Way at 5:15 p.m. Thursday. To RSVP, click here.

It's part of a swing through the state that will take the former president to Philadelphia and Erie as well.

Bill Clinton is no stranger to Scranton.  He was here last in December, campaigning for, and raising money for Hillary's campaign.  There was a private event at the Radisson on Lackawanna Avenue, closed to the public and the media.   Tickets reportedly cost between $500 and $2,700.

Hillary Clinton campaigned Monday in her adopted home state of New York.  She does have ties to Scranton.  Her father was born here, and he's buried here.  She vacationed in the area as a child.

Pennsylvania is very important to Mrs. Clinton and her opponent Bernie Sanders.  Sanders spent his Monday in Wisconsin.

Pennsylvania has 188 Democratic delegates.  The magic number to capture the nomination in Philadelphia this summer is 2,383.

Both Sanders and Clinton are scheduled to be in Philadelphia Wednesday.
