WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP -- Elton John and his band plan to make a return to the Wilkes-Barre area.
The legendary singer and musician is scheduled to play at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, September 24 at 8 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 8 at Noon.
“It will truly be an honor for Wilkes-Barre to host Sir Elton John for the fifth time at the Mohegan Sun Arena this fall,” said Brian Sipe, SMG General Manager for Mohegan Sun Arena. “I am excited for our patrons to create life-long memories while singing along to all the hits and enjoying one of the greatest musicians to ever grace this stage. September 24 will be a great night in the history of our venue. “
The performance will be part of Elton John's nine-city concert tour featuring iconic hits and classic album tracks from throughout his five-decade career, including tracks from his latest album, "Wonderful Crazy Night."
The Rocket Man last played at the Mohegan Sun Arena back in April 2011.
