WILKES-BARRE -- Police are investigating a shooting that happened overnight in Wilkes-Barre.
Shots rang out in the area of East Northampton and South Hancock streets in the city shortly after 1:30 Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the scene and found some evidence.
A short time later they found a victim with a gunshot wound.
The person was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
There is no word on if police have made any arrests after the shooting in Wilkes-Barre.
