BLOOMSBURG -- The dance floor was packed at Bloomsburg Area High School as students practiced their best moves. More than 100 kids from six school districts packed into the gym for the annual Life Skills Easter Dance.

"So much fun! You get all your friends together from different schools and you just have fun all together," Joe Astor said.

It wasn't just a dance. There was also an Easter egg hunt and a free lunch.

A display of food was donated from local businesses in the Bloomsburg area.

Dalton Hunter of Bloomsburg spent most of the day on the dance floor dancing to his favorite songs.

"My favorite one is Wild Ones by FloRida. He's a rapper," Hunter said.

Life Skills Teacher Brooke Bowman says each of the six districts hosts an event during the school year, so the students get to know each other.

"They have built friendships between the other schools because other school districts do dances as well. So it's just a great time for them," Bowman said.

Jeff Noll is a junior at Bloomsburg High. He helps the life skills students in gym class and volunteered to help at the dance.

" I just love interacting with the kids. It makes them happy and it makes my day a little funner. So I thought it would be fun to come and brighten all of these kids' days," Noll said.

Some of the students say they've been looking forward to the dance since the last one, which was for Valentine's Day.
