No name has been released yet as to whose body was found and investigators told Newswatch 16 it could take several days to identify the body as they try to match dental records. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Tia Schoonover and her husband were driving to a relative's cabin near Monroeton on Friday when she noticed the body.

"We were just driving down the road and I was staring out the window and happened to see a body," she said. "[At least] what I thought was a body."

Tammi Knight and other friends of Michelle Inch showed up at the scene to check for themselves, in hopes that the body would be identified as Michelle Inch's.

"We just really want the closure," said Knight. "But are we hopeful she's still alive out there? Yes, we are!"

"We're praying that it's Michelle and we're bringing her home," said Annette Laudenslager.

Michelle Inch was last seen on January 26th, several hours before her boyfriend and another man allegedly broke into her parents' home, and tied them up with duct tape and set the home on fire.

Inch's boyfriend, Michael Houseweart, and Brian Vroman from the Canton area are charged in connection with the brutal attack on the inch family.

Friends of Michelle Inch added that the situation is bittersweet as they hope their search comes to an end, but also dread the thought of a positive identification at the same time.

The pieces to Friday night's investigation are still coming together in Bradford County after a body was found.

Smokey's Road, a rural path in Monroeton was brightened by State Police lights late Friday night.

Emergency crews and troopers were the only ones driving down the dirt road which runs along Schrader Creek.

State Police wouldn't say why they blocked off this road, but people in Monroeton say this is where someone found a body.

"Yea it`s pretty rural up there that`s all mountainous and people do cheap and stuff other than that it`s pretty much a dead town up there," said Justin Griffith, Wyalusing.

Officials confirm the Bradford County coroner was called to an area in Monroeton after a body was found.

"I have a buddy that is in the fire department that was there today. That`s about it," said Griffith.

Justin Griffith lives in Wyalusing.   He says word about the investigation spread on Facebook.

It's where Shannon Sibley heard about it.

"That`s crazy. I don`t understand what`s going on," said Shannon Sibley.

State Police have been searching near Monroeton for Michelle Inch from Montoursville for months.

While State Police have not released any information, people are starting to wonder who it is.

"She has been missing nobody has been able to find her, so I mean it is a possibility," said Sibley.
