MILFORD -- Attorneys for accused cop killer Eric Frein want his trial moved out of Pike County or have a jury brought in from elsewhere in the state.
They filed a motion Tuesday, citing the amount of media coverage the case has gotten from the day of the ambush until now.
The defense also pointed out campaign flyers the Pike County district attorney used in last year's election which showed Frein's picture and the word "murderer."
Frein is accused of shooting two state troopers at the Blooming Grove barracks in September 2014. Corporal Bryon Dickson died. Trooper Alex Douglass was injured.
The Pike County district attorney is seeking the death penalty if Frein is found guilty of murder.
