SOUTH CANAAN TOWNSHIP -- A family lost its home to fire Monday morning in Wayne County.

The first alarm along Mid Valley Road in South Canaan Township came in around 8 a.m. Monday. It's just outside of Lake Ariel.

Cliff Enslin lived there with his wife, two young children, and three dogs. They all got out safely.

Enslin told us he heard noises near some upstairs bedrooms, and then noticed the flames.

An assistant fire chief says the fire apparently had a good start.

"Flames everywhere, the house was 100 percent involvement," said Lake Ariel Deputy Chief Michael Dipierro. "Just threw a whole bunch of water on it, did it directly from the pond."

Enslin says they rented the home from a friend, and lived there for about two years.

The Red Cross is helping the family, and a state police fire marshal is looking for the cause.
