Computers Stolen from Community Center in Hazleton

HAZLETON -- Police say someone stole 12 computers worth at least $25,000 from a community center in Hazleton over the weekend.

Investigators said someone broke into the Hazleton One Community Center on East 4th Street on Saturday.

At least nine Apple desktop computers and three laptops were taken along with the building's surveillance system.

Officials tell us hundreds of children in Hazleton used the computers to do homework and get free online tutoring.

The computers were also used to help non-English speaking people learn English.
