SCRANTON --  A party Saturday night in Scranton ended with a deadly fight on the sidewalk of Quincy Avenue, according to Police Chief Carl Graziano.

Police identified the victim as Eugene Jordan, 33, of Scranton, although he went by "Troy" Jordan. Police said he died at the hospital after being stabbed multiple times.

Neighbors say they heard fighting at the party starting around 11 p.m. Saturday, but the situation escalated after midnight.

“There was a fight. I heard the altercation and two loud noises and there was cops everywhere,” said Devin Welsh of Scranton.

Police  arrived around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, taping off the scene and placing evidence markers in the intersection where the victim had been bleeding.

Another neighbor watched as the investigation spread out across the neighborhood.

“I seen lights on the police car, and I, we came out, and there was a car over there and there was three teenagers the cops were questioning,” said Paul Baldoni of Scranton.

Police believe about a dozen people were involved in the fight and say there were several other injuries. However, only the man who died was taken to the hospital.

Police say they have interviewed a number of witnesses and those interviews continue. So far, no arrests have been made.
