WYOMING -- Police are looking for whoever broke into a car in Luzerne County and stole personal items. It happened along the levee in Wyoming.

"It's the time of the year that breakins do start at that location," Wyoming Police Commissioner Mike Flanagan said.

A Newswatch 16 viewer sent a photo of the vehicle's shattered window. It happened while its owner went for a walk Tuesday morning along the levee. Two iPhones and cash were stolen.

With lots of sunny days ahead of us, authorities are expecting even more people to be using the levee and experienced walkers have a warning.

"The most important thing is if they see something that doesn't look right or see something suspicious, to call 911 immediately and we'll have an officer dispatched," Flannagan said.

Police also want Wyoming Borough and Luzerne County officials to eventually set up security cameras in the levee parking lot, but right now there are no definite plans for that.
