SELINSGROVE -- As people browse the Rudy Gelnett Memorial library in Selinsgrove, others are setting up a golf course. The library is being turned into a 19-hole miniature golf course for a fundraiser this weekend.

The second annual fundraiser is called "Putting for Pages."

Friday night's event is for people 21 and older and features hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Saturday's event is for families. All 19 holes are sponsored.

"We've got a fire company that's bringing fire apparatus. We have a board member who is doing one that's Selinsgrove related. We have someone else that's doing one that's Susquehanna University related," said Pam Ross, Snyder County Libraries.

The event's main sponsor is Vivace Music Center in Selinsgrove which is owned by Nate Fisher. He will have musicians at his sponsored hole and says he is happy to help.

"My wife brings our daughters here on a regular basis and they love coming here, especially the children's floor," said Fisher.

Employees hope to raise $20,000 and say all of that money will go to the four libraries in the Snyder County library system.

"Buying books, doing children's programs, having computers that people can use to look for jobs, having places that people can come in the different towns and study," Ross said.

Putting for Pages runs Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rudy Gelnett Memorial Library in Selinsgrove.
