BLOOMSBURG -- Four people are now in jail after a home invasion Friday afternoon, including the person living in that home! The four men were arraigned late Friday evening in Berwick.

Four Bloomsburg University sophomores were escorted into a magistrate's office in Berwick to be arraigned on a number of charges.

Three of them are facing charges for a home invasion at an upstairs apartment inside this building on East Street in Bloomsburg.

When officers arrived, they found drugs inside the apartment, so the tenant, Sean Scott, 20, was arrested as well.

Workers at Naps Pizza shop across from the apartment building saw the police commotion as it unfolded.

“Around 3:30 [p.m.] they all just showed up and they just started dragging people out of the houses,” said manager Scott Mingle. “They had three guys they drug out at first and they put them in handcuffs, put them in the back of the cruisers.”

Police say Clarence Powell, 21, Malcolm Johnson,19, and Wade Weldon, 20, came to Scott’s apartment and knocked on the door.

Court paperwork states when Scott’s friend answered, one of the men put a pellet gun to his head and they forced their way inside.

But the building’s owner had already been in touch with police earlier in the day after seeing something odd on surveillance video taken from the upstairs hallway the day before. The owner saw three men bang on Scott’s door then leave.

Then later, a man came in and moved the camera so it faced away from Scott’s door.

Investigators say the owner had actually been on the phone with police about the surveillance video when the home invasion took place.

The owner immediately informed police what was happening upstairs.

Officers arrived in minutes and found the four defendants and Scott’s friend still inside the apartment.

Investigations believe Scott was selling the drugs found in his apartment; his bail was set at $50,000 straight.

The three charged for the home invasion had bail set at $125,000 straight.
