PLAINS TOWNSHIP -- More action has been taken against the nurse suspected of being drunk on the job.
The state has suspended the nursing license of Richard Pieri of Drums, according to officials with the Pennsylvania Department of State.
Pieri told authorities he forgot he was on-call last month when he was summoned for emergency surgery at the VA Medical Center near Wilkes-Barre.
Pieri admitted to police he had four or five beers before he was paged to come to work.
