EAST STROUDSBURG -- Super Tuesday took center stage during a political science class Tuesday in the Poconos.

Students enrolled in East Stroudsburg University's Intro to American Government class were focused in on Super Tuesday elections and the impacts it could have on the Presidential nominees.

Associate Professor Adam McGlynn enjoys breaking down Super Tuesday, bringing current politics into this lecture hall.

"The big question really today is if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump can amass significant victories, can they build delegate counts that would make it not impossible, but very difficult for any of the other candidates to catch up?” said Associate Political Science Professor Adam McGlynn.

Speculation is swirling over whether or not Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz can ‘trump’ Trump in the caucuses or at the polls.

“The Republican side is really coming down to, is Donald Trump going to be the nominee?” said McGlynn.

Students say they’re trying to focus in on the facts and where the remaining candidates stand in the race for delegates.

"We get down to the truth of it and we start to learn the way things work, how they work. It's kind of cool having a political class during this time,” said freshman Brett Kardon.

Students at East Stroudsburg University say taking this political science class is actually inspiring them to take part in the presidential election.

"I do enjoy this class because I get to learn the process of it, and I really want to get involved, and I want to register to vote and everything,” said sophomore Guadalupe Bautista.

McGlynn says he encourages students to ask questions, get involved, and hopefully vote once primary day here in Pennsylvania comes around.

“That's part of my goal and I hope it does, and whenever they see other people talking about it, it sort of resonates with them that yes, this matters,” said McGlynn.

This is the biggest primary day in 2016.

Pennsylvanians will get the chance to vote for this Presidential primary in late April, although experts say it could all be decided by then.
