WILKES-BARRE -- The Wilkes University Running Club hosted its 12th annual "Relay for Heat" in Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre.
The race raised money to help local families with heating costs.
Relay teams ran four-mile legs until the whole group covered 100 miles.
Last year, the club raised over $2,000. The club advisor said this year's goal was to raise just as much.
All money goes to the Martin Luther King Fuel Fund.
