STROUD TOWNSHIP -- Power was out in part of the Poconos after a garbage truck accidentally took out some power lines.
Soloman Container Services had just picked up a trash container behind Weis Market on Route 611 in Stroud Township around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver pulled over to strap down the load, but the truck got tied up in some power lines, snapped a utility pole, and the truck ended up on its side.
PPL was called to fix the pole and restore power.
