SCRANTON -- Police were called to a reported bank robbery in Scranton.
It happened Thursday around 9:30 a.m. at NBT Bank on Meadow Avenue.
Police said a man with gray hoodie, face mask, hat, and gloves robbed the bank with a gun and got away in silver or white car with tinted windows.
Investigators released a security camera image of the robber.
Authorities said the robber was parked behind the bank and investigators were there looking for evidence.
It's the second time this bank has been robbed in weeks.
Authorities have been investigating a series of bank robberies in this area.
The Scranton police chief told us they think they're dealing with that serial bank robber.
Police have seen that Nike baseball cap before. You may have seen it here on Newswatch 16, in surveillance video shared from two other bank robberies in our area back in December.
In all, police think this so-called "serial bank robber" has held up a total of four banks in our area. Three of them have been NBT branches.
This time, police say the robber got away in a silver or white two-door car.
NBT Bank is now offering a reward of up to $10,000 to help catch and convict this serial bank robber.
