OLD FORGE -- Neighbors were startled out of bed by a late night crash that killed one person.
Police told Newswatch 16 a driver was killed when two cars collided on Main Street in Old Forge around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The coroner said the victim is Jason Shearer, 39, of Scranton.
The Old Forge police chief said the other driver has a broken leg and is stable after surgery.
"We heard the bang, then we saw two cars. One flipped over and one smashed," commented Lorrie Harris from Old Forge.
Main Street in Old Forge was shut down for about three hours for police to investigate the deadly wreck.
