LONG POND — The Pike County sheriff now confirms that one of his deputies is charged with raping a child.
John Conte was charged last week in Monroe County with assaulting two young girls more than 20 years ago.
The Pike County sheriff says Conte has been with his department for less than a year and is currently suspended.
