STROUDSBURG -- The inaugural Pocono Winter Beerfest was held Saturday at the Sherman Theater in downtown Stroudsburg.

For $35, folks got to try more than 75 different lagers, ales, stouts on tap, and take home a souvenir tasting glass.

Some beer-lovers tell Newswatch 16 the event offered a wide variety of brews, unmatched at other beerfests.

"You know, there's a lot of craft breweries here like Sam Adams and Weyerbacher that haven't been at any of the other ones that we've been to and we came out because of that and it's just a great time,” said Bill Champin, Beerfest Enthusiast. “The people, the contacts are great, and it's a little bit crowded now but it's a great time."

One hundred VIP tickets were also sold to folks who wanted to taste specialty brews in a private setting here in downtown Stroudsburg.
