SALEM TOWNSHIP -- Two homes that burned in Luzerne County Monday morning have been condemned and the township has ordered that both be torn down.
Both fires happened within hours of each other on the same road in Salem Township near Shickshinny.
One fire, at 69 Salem Boulevard, is blamed on a wood stove. The home is owned by Harry Baluski.
Baluski is also legally responsible for the other house that caught fire, also on Salem Boulevard. That one was blamed on a generator.
Salem Township may cite Baluski for code violations.
