SOUTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP -- Farmers markets aren't just a summer thing, at least not in one part of Lackawanna County.
Clarks Summit United Methodist Church is hosting the 'winter' farmer's market every Saturday through May inside the church hall.
Fresh produce, jams, fresh bread, and honey are among some of the things for sale indoors, where it's warm.
"I think it's a great thing that we can move some product in the winter time. It's a place where people can get some fresh locally grown produce and other baked goods and canned goods in the wintertime," said 4 Season Farm Market's Gerald Carlin.
Organizers say the winter farmers market will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
