ALLENTOWN — Police have found the body of the five-year-old boy who was missing in Lehigh County.
Officials recovered the body of Jayliel Vega in the Lehigh Canal Saturday afternoon.
The boy, who is autistic, went missing late New Year’s Eve when he ran from a home on the east side of Allentown.
Vega was not wearing shoes, socks or a coat.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
No foul play is suspected, but officials are continuing to investigate the boy’s death in Lehigh County.
