SCRANTON -- The new year has brought colder conditions to our area landing a year long farmers' market indoors!

The market on Cedar Avenue in Scranton provides a way for vendors to continue to sell their produce during the winter months. It's also a place for folks to get their veggies while staying toasty inside.

Liz Piriczky,  Fullers Overlook Farm, said "A lot of our stuff is in cold storage. Things stored really well. Things like carrots, beets, potatoes. Then we do fresh grain. We have spinach and kale that are all in greenhouses."

"Pretty much most of our diet comes from the farmer's market so it's crucial for us," said Elizabeth Davis of Scranton.

The United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA organizes the South Side Farmers' Market to promote healthy living and support local agriculture.
