PECKVILLE — The balmy weather on this Christmas Eve had lots of people breaking tradition and spending the day outside.

Folks are split on whether they want warm or a white Christmas.

Neither snow, nor rain, nor 60 degree temperatures can stop Rick Klinko from delivering those last-minute Christmas packages. But the latter makes it a lot easier.

“Where else could you have shorts on on Christmas Eve! This is great!” Klinko said.

We found him on his route in Peckville. The postal worker is one of the ones who would never miss a white Christmas.

“Like this every day,” he said. “Last year was a killer. This year we’re good to go.”

“I don’t know, I’m used to it being negative five, so, this is like Florida, basically,” said Cassidie Kovack

She and her little brother Jack were happy and admittedly a bit confused by the weather when they took some time out at the park.

They had lots of company, too, people were out in their typical springtime wear.

“Would you prefer this, or would you rather their be snow?”

“Snow, definitely snow.”

The countdown to Christmas may be over but Queen Elsa and Olaf are very out of place.

“Yeah, how about that! Window’s open, it’s like, this is not normal. I want snow but hey, Santa’s still coming no matter what,” said Ed Kolesar of Peckville.

He put out the countdown clock 89 days ago. He says the weather felt more like Christmas then. But, unless you’re a snowman there’s no use in complaining. Christmas is here.
